Beautiful Betty as I call her is the "Breeders Choice" for 2007. It is a difficult time for Amber to pick the best of the best of the 2007 foal crop, but Betty just edged out over all the rest for some reason. Her unusual bay color, her sweet personality that just meshed so well with my own personality and size, well it is difficult to say just exactly why I (Amber) chose Betty, but she is my choice for overall correctness and what I would want if I were to keep one of my foals.
Her dam, La Nina is new to my program and I could not be more pleased. I was hoping for and expected a buckskin foal with La Nina and Shotgun, La Nina carrying one copy of the cream gene and Shotgun carries Agouti but it wasn't to be. Instead I got this beautiful bay that is unlike any bay I have yet to see with her silver tail and mane and roaned legs. What is she anyway? Not like the bay's I am familiar with that is for sure.
Betty does a fabulous overstriding running walk with her beautiful chiseled head just nodding up and down to the rhythm. She is an absolute dream to work with. She catches on to everything as fast as lightening and never balks at a thing I ask of her. She is at the head of the class on all counts and she has a very smart group of peers to compete with.
The words for Betty elude me, there just are not enough. She will do anyone proud in the showring, on the trails or producing more stunning absolutely correct foals in her future.
