Strider was entered in his first fifty mile race in June 2005 at Sunriver and completed his second fifty a very challenging and difficult race at Headwaters at the Rogue in August of 2005 again right behind D'Artagnon.

"Strider" is not for a beginner as he is a competitive gelding with a lot of go. He is highly trained & conditioned as an athlete & requires a rider with confidence and knowledge to maintain his wonderful mind and training.

Strider is a Been There Done That Gelding. He was raised in a large herd of mares, foals, stallion, Llamas, Herding Dogs, and alongside a busy road with logging trucks, motorcycles, school buses, and low flying helicopters

Out on the trail he is used to bicyclists, deer jumping out, coyotes, birds & Canadian geese flying up,, and even hang gliders. Strider loves to swim & goes through any type of obstacle. He has many hours of camping under his belt & hi-ties or stays in a portable corral. Strider will take the lead, the middle, or the back. He can be ridden alone or in a group.

Strider has been ridden in the Ocean & on the Desert, and climbed Steep Mountain Trails. He is Fabulous On Steep Mountain Switchbacks ! He will pony a younger horse and patiently puts up with their immaturity. Strider has Absolutely No Pace in his gait. He does the Flat Walk, Running Walk, and Racks 14 miles an hr. Strider is good for any athletic equine sport, pleasure/trail, or would do well in Lite Shod/Park Pleasure classes with a bit of training.

This fine gelding is for sale so I can devote my time to training my stallions, Shotgun and my new stud, Firestorm .
